John David-Washington is actually James Bond. It’s clear they’re setting up a potential JDW / Pattinson universe going forwards or backwards or something. Think about it - JDW is never given a name. He’s a dead man, off the grid. The perfect candidate for a 00 agent. He’s made the connection with British intelligence through Pattinson, who references several fun adventures they’ve yet to have. Nolan has always wanted to do Bond-he just did it right under our noses.
