This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I totally understand why someone might not like this movie but the overall theme of doing what makes you happy even if it means going against societal expectations has always meant a lot to me and I'm not sure I've ever seen it done quite as well as here.
To top it all off, it's just a pretty fun comedy too.
So this is what happened to Heidi after Meet the Feebles...
I think the story and acting is both really great. Although, I would've liked to have seen more of the futuristic city and the way their world works because I personally find the farm setting to be really boring. That's not to say that the story itself becomes boring but I just prefer more urban settings over flat landscapes and I think there's some missed potential in the whole concept of using time travel as a punishment for crimes, by setting the whole film on a isolated farm completely separate from that world.
I have loads of unpopular opinions when it comes to film but this one might take the cake. I really don't think this movie is as bad as people make it out to be.
The worst aspect is definitely the animation. This came out in 2005. One year AFTER The Incredibles and the same year as Madagascar. The animation shown here is miles below both of those movies. The models look awful and the animation itself is really inorganic. Every…
