There were 4 or 5 perfect scenes: the first 'We Found Love' meeting of Star and Jake, the cowboy barbecue, the trucker who asks Star about her dreams, and the group sing-along to 'American Honey'.

The final 10 minutes are the strongest of the whole movie, which is good because, despite those highs, you feel every minute it takes getting there.

It's too long. Way too long. Prettily photographed, a super-strong central performance, but it feels endless. If I never hear another rap song it'll be too soon.
