Chris_McCarthy’s review published on Letterboxd:
Sorcerer is Friedkin’s remake of Wages of Fear, about four unfortunate men who must transport a rickety truck full of unstable dynamite atop a mountain. The journey is fraught with danger and he see them venture out into the deadly jungle. It’s inferior to the original, as the dramatic scenes don’t capture the same tension, but the atmosphere and action are top notch. Friedkin affects a scuzzy, desperate tone and you feel the men’s struggle. Never before have branches and trees been such a cunning nemesis. Big recommend.
