Thank you PTA.
I'm practically speechless, but of course, I have to atleast say something besides those things stated above. PTA is a genius, a complete mastermind, I'm a huge fan of his work especially Punch Drunk Love and now thankfully There Will Be Blood. I can't even begin to tell you how long I have been wanting to see this, but for some reason my thumb never clicked X on my controller on Netflix.
Now my expectations were very high after hearing that Daniel Day-Lewis' performance is the best performance yet in cinematic history and honestly, I'm not even going to argue with that. I support that statement, whomever said it, whenever they said it, but I support the fuck out of it. Continuing on with my expectations, yeah they were fucking met!
With an opening that has NO dialogue for 15 minutes, just to make us watch a man work his ass off digging, chopping, climbing, this man shows dedication and we continue to see dedication throughout the entire film!
I'm seriously amazed as to what I just watched.
Honestly, the acting is really what did it. It blew me miles away.
Don't do what I did and wait years to watch this, just fucking watch it.
That ending...fuck me.
