Chris FT’s review published on Letterboxd:
A 21st century gem from David Lynch. Mulholland Drive takes quite a bit of brain use in this story of identity, reality, desire, and mystery.
In classic Lynch fashion, this movie plows on with an artistic elegance that can make any simple situation in it feel surreal. The vibe is artsy, with some heavy drops of slinky and sexy.
Naomi Watts is stunning and an all-around force in this early notch in her vast filmography. She is only matched by Laura Harring, who was with Watts every step of the way.
The film, as per usual in Lynch, takes its time and is in no rush to get to the point. But patience is rewarded here. This certainly isn't for everybody.
