  Halle Bailey alone is reason enough to see this film. Absolutely stunning, I got chills during her rendition of Part of Your World. She made Ariel her own. This is gonna be her year, between this and The Color Purple? What a performance!

  I say this as a nearly lifelong fan of the original, which was the first movie I was ever obsessed with: I loved this movie! The visual effects, sets, costumes, Melissa McCarthy clearly having fun playing Ursula, even the new songs (I don't care what anyone says, Scuttlebutt was a BOP and actually fits within the context of the movie).
