Chris Van Harmelen’s review published on Letterboxd:
This has some of the best fight sequences I think i've ever seen in a samurai style movie. They're gorgeous, brutal, and just totally relentless. The movie in it's entirety was absolutely beautiful. The first two points I just made are definitely what made it a 4 star movie to me. Besides that I found the majority of the characters kind of bland and boring, and I thought the story was nothing new or special.
The fight choreography and the overall beauty of this movie are definitely the two biggest positives and the two biggest reasons I can say I enjoyed this. The runtime was a little long I think. If it was somewhere around 105-110 minutes I think it would have been a lot better off. Overall I enjoyed it though! Check it out if you're a fan of samurai flicks.
