Chris Feil’s review published on Letterboxd:
Every adult male in this is a self-involved weirdo racist huckster cartoon idiot creep (except for the good Mr. Haim, of course), and the tension of whether or when Gary will become one of them plays as one of the least didactic and most introspective of recent cinematic reckonings of bad male behavior. You keep running from one hustle to the next and you’ll never achieve actual self-reflection and growth, somehow a theme that is at once Anderson at his most literal and swoon-worthy. People stopped comparing him to Altman and then he goes and makes his most Altman-like film. Alana Haim is just fucking sensational.
