Between this and Shiva Baby I think I've fallen a little in love with Rachel Sennott.
There are definitely moments and references that made me feel a lot older than I actually am, but for the most part I thought this was a really fun look at/critic of a generation while using all the trappings of a tried and true genre. The movie really succeeds or fails based on this cast, and I think they were all wonderful. So much of the story and tension rests on the audience believing there is a shared history between these characters, and the actors delivered on that. The immediate and devastating insults that are thrown around are both hilarious and cutting. And thinking back on certain scenes when you know the ending give them new meaning.
