Honestly, a really fun time! It’s a fun grand expensive movies that does really show its budget off in the most flashy ways.
The problem with Christopher Nolan movies isn’t the movies themselves (though we take it out on them) it’s the cult around them. Inception has no place being in the top 25 movies of all time on IMDb, but it is a fun and unique blockbuster that altered the course of Hollywood. I don’t think this movie is as groundbreaking, as it doesn’t break far from Nolan expectations, though its COVID release might be.
Just enjoy the ride. You can complain about the exposition and role of “mom” in the story, but you’re in Nolan’s head for 2:30 and it’s best to just let that happen. (BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAPPENED 👀😧)
That being said, when someone says everyone in the world could die and “mom” says “including my son!” I died laughing.
I don’t know what happened so I can’t help you there, but I feel like if we watch this movie in reverse there’s gotta be some crazy hidden messages. Stay tuned...
