A group of superheroes with unique abilities fighting monsters and having fun directed by Chloe Zhao bringing her signature style to the MCU, what's not to like? This movie was a blast for me, really cool and beautifully shot. And I can understand people having some issues with it. There's a lot of exposition and flashbacks here but I didn't have any problems with it and I completely understand that. Introducing 10 new superheroes in 1 movie is not easy but I'd say they did a pretty good job. I already care about those characters, the relationships between them and I look forward to seeing them in future movies, interacting with other heroes we know and love. The criticism I've seen for this movie is way out of proportion. I really enjoyed the story and the way it was told with all the twists and turns. People say that it's a classic boring Marvel formula. But is it really? Yeah, sure, at the end of the day it is another movie about a group of heroes fighting CGI monsters and saving the day. But to say that's it bland and not at all unique is a crime and simply not true. And it's worth seeing just for the actors alone, wow, what a cast. Gemma Chan is great as the lead here, I'm so glad that she was given a more prominent role in the MCU. Barry Keoghan in a leather jacket is a whole mood. And protect Lauren Ridloff and Makkari at all costs. I've got some positive things to say about everyone and they all get their moments to shine. I'd say go see it for yourself and form your own opinion. I know some people have a problem with Marvel, almost like it's cool to hate those MCU movies, but a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes? Give me a break. I consider Eternals an absolute win and I hope it makes a shitload of money.
