Not only is this movie a love letter to America, but it’s an inspiring movie that still blesses this country today, over 80 years later.

First time seeing this in years! At least 5. Forgot what I loved so much about it. I love the innocence of childhood, the child performances, Gregory Peck’s Oscar winning performance, Brock Peters’ AMAZING performance as Tom Robinson, and the sweet theme of this movie. I think the movie runs a little too long, but that’s probably my only complaint. It’s an amazing film.

While this movie was very fast paced, I just feel like it never went anywhere. Maybe it’s because I didn’t feel attached to any of the characters or because the final reveal wasn’t anything crazy. It had its creepy moments, sure, but by the time it ended I think I verbally said “that was it?” I don’t know, just wasn’t very impressed. If you’re looking for a solid horror film from the early 2000s that has a scary character with long black hair, just stick with The Ring.

This movie was much more grand and epic than I was expecting. I was mainly intrigued for it being categorized as a horror film, plus it never hurts to watch a 1939 film or a film with Thomas Mitchell in it! I was so impressed by this film! As far as the technical aspect of the film goes, the set is grand and beautiful! Very impressed that it was made in 1939!
This is actually the first film I’ve ever…

For a low budget film this is great! Just not my kind of film, but one to appreciate nonetheless!

I just finished a movie that is 100 years old. 1 whole century! Man have movies changed. To watch this and then think of something that was as big as last year’s Avengers Endgame is just crazy!
Really appreciated this movie! I mean how could you not? It’s considered one of the first horror films and the sets were so unique and bizarre! Was it actually scary? Not at all. And I know it’s hard to judge a 100 year…
