After re watching this I have to say my opinion of this movie has changed quite a bit. I think part of the reason why I disliked this movie so much when I first saw it was the fact I was expecting some crazy horror movie, or at least that’s what I was hoping for. But having that mentality really was the wrong choice. I still think the marketing for this movie really made me think it was awful, i don’t know if the trailers were intentionally supposed to make you think it’s gonna be some crazy supernatural horror movie like the witch, but I think this movie definitely isn’t that. I mean that in a good way though. Going into this movie without knowing anything about it or without watching any of the trailers is how I think this movie is intended to be seen. I see this movie at its core about nature vs. nurture and I think once that clicked for me the experience and beauty of this movie just went up a whole other level.
