Evan Popplestone’s review published on Letterboxd:
If you remotely like the band Talking Heads and their innovative brand of punk-influenced art pop, then this live concert documentary is an absolute must see. Director Jonathan Demme shot it over the course of four nights of shows performed at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. He used digital audio recording - which was then a first for any filmed live concert.
As well as being pristine on the ears, it is superbly shot by Demme and cinematographer Jordan Cronenweth. The footage is astonishingly intimate with the band, vividly capturing the energy and (literal) sweat in their individual stage performances. Frontman David Byrne, in particular, is an eccentric and boundlessly charismatic stage presence.
