Evan Popplestone’s review published on Letterboxd:
Alexandro Jodorowsky’s film is positively dense with surreal, amusing and graphically disturbing tableaux, almost akin to a more extreme Sergei Parajanov (the Armenian director behind The Color of Pomegranates) attempting to emulate Monty Python after ingesting several pints of LSD. At times, it takes obvious satirical swipes at religion, commerce and politics. At others, it’s just plain WTF. Nonetheless, it maintains a certain hypnotic quality throughout.
