A prep school student takes a weekend job as the aide of a blind former army man, ends up getting way more than he bargained for.
Pacino getting an Oscar for this role? Sure. Pacino getting his one and only Oscar for THIS role? They messed that one up.
It's too long and Charlie's a wet blanket of a character that I didn't really care about. The Colonel's shenanigans are entertaining, but there's only so much that even someone like Pacino can do on his own.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was great in the five or so minutes of screen time he got.
The ending is absurd and hokey as hell, but in a fun way.
