Director George Miller's romantic modern fantasy Three Thousand Years of Longing opens in theaters on Friday. Critic Andrew Wyatt has a review:

"Whatever its faults, Three Thousand Years is bursting with affection for legendary fiction in all its strange, extravagant glory. At bottom, it’s a sumptuously mounted but deceptively simple story about stories, in the vein of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988), Big Fish (2003), and The Fall (2006)."
