i loveddddd this. not because of any notion of 'whoa this thing is wild' but more because it's just fucking *good*. i love the structure, i love the performances, i love the filmmaking. it feels like it's trying to bring us back to something. tapping into a throwback nasty just enough. isn't one. and doesn't feel like one. but there's a slight evocation there. enough. knows exactly when to go in for immediacy. great stuff, will probably rate higher on rewatches, i can see this being a comfort film i go back to often. a romp
