Many will think this is a style-over-substance pretentious mess, and to be honest I am very much on the margin of that mindset, but for me this film dripfeeds just enough to make you think that yes, there was thought, there was intent behind the many oddities it entails. A cold, disturbing, gripping neo noir that’ll certainly be etched into my brain for years to come
Still as fucking brilliant as I remember. A Mind-bending, heart-thumping, mentally-draining masterpiece. To run with an idea so complex and execute it close to perfection is a skill Nolan has proved he is the master of. Theres no need for me to go into further analysis, it’s top cinema in every aspect.
Despite some cheesy scenes and iffy CGI among other things, I can’t deny how much I love this film. It proves that a film doesn't have to be meticulously crafted to the point where it's cinematic perfection for it to still be amazing. It’s a heartwarming story that implies the importance of exploring, and making your dreams reality. The beautiful cinematography and score help make this tale a joy to watch, and such a great comforting watch. Not only is it it comforting, but it’s inspiring, and really resonates with me.
