Synecdoche, New York

Synecdoche, New York ★★★★★

A literature teacher that i had in highschool once said to me that "if a story starts with the protagonist waking up in his house, it's a boring, unimaginative and cliché story."
Well, Synecdoche, New York stars exactly like that, with Caden, the main character just waking up in his house.
It isn't boring; it isn't unimaginative and CLEARLY not cliché. His life passes quick, represented in the film with enormous ellipsis and with a little bit of ambiguity, but never making you lost in time.
You start laughing because Olive's poop it's green, but at the end, all your feelings, combinated, are swallowed up entirely and you just... Just stand in front of the black mirror thinking and appreciating life in a way you never imagined.
