The Goldfinch

The Goldfinch

As great as it looks (hello, Deakins), I found myself, as a person who never read the book, utterly bored. The story at the core of this is quite winding and uneven, much more suited for longer form media. As shown in this film, it's almost aimless, propped up by the titular painting as multiple side plots drift in and out of the story to serve Theodore, our main character, who occupies every single frame.
