CJ Johnson’s review published on Letterboxd:
The cold open is one of the best in the series. The first two acts are sublime. The cinematography is famously franchise-best. The Shanghai sequence is among the greatest across all the films. All the callbacks and references work. And Bardem is amazing, BUT the third act just doesn’t work for me, and the whole Den Mother to Orphan boys / Oedipal thing is not my cuppa tea.
