Catwomen are not contained by the rules of society
I go boyfriend
I believe that I am a honeybee
I couldn't believe how effective this was, given that I knew so many of the plot points going in! It's amazing how genuinely scary it was while also being such a hilarious meta commentary. Also now I understand why that one episode of Boy Meets World was so funny.
"There's a formula to it! A very simple formula! Everybody's a suspect!!"
This was so fun and weird and campy, why did I have the impression it was going to be so much darker?? I loved all three leads playing against type. Meryl Streep was absolutely amazing of course, and it was delightful to see Bruce Willis as this milquetoast character channel some John McClane moves on a rooftop. Goldie Hawn is the queen of comedy, full stop.
“She is a woman, Ernest, a woman. From Newark, for God's sake.”
Comedy is not the right genre to describe this movie, neither is horror. Can we introduce terror as a genre? “Terror is the feeling of dread and apprehension at the possibility of something frightening, while horror is the shock and repulsion of seeing the frightening thing.”
Unnerving and effective. Why it resonates with me probably says too much about my current emotional state 😂
