recommended by a friend of mine with superb taste - so different than anything i’ve seen before but such a beautiful film! i’ve never seen anything with subtitles or such a lack of background music but its slow and intentional format made its sentiment so real! so many little details (page 28, orpheus and eurydice allusion, ending with tears over orchestral music) made this such a deep, moving, and thoughtful film.

would probably have been confused if not for my dad clarifying some parts, makes the MOST out of 2hr 48m (so much happens i’ve forgotten what the beginning’s like), big fan of foreshadowing (like a mystery) and i’m apparently more of a mcconaughey fan than i realized - he did a phenomenal job as everybody did and i think it was overall just a beautiful movie and message
