Clark Abraham’s review published on Letterboxd:
I see the 4 and the 5 stars for the Wick sequels all over Letterboxd. I ask myself, are they really that good? Can they be as good as the original?
Throw me in the echo chamber. Yes. Here is another 4.5 star review for you. This one is quite possibly my favorite of what I've seen so far. I am so impressed with how they handled the world-building. More tea on the High Table, the Bowery King's character development, the time in Casablanca (which was actually filmed there), The Elder, Halle Berry, The Director and her ballerinas (Black Widow back story much?), Anjelica Huston, Boban mother freaking Marjanović. What more do you want from an action movie??
"Tick Tock, Mr. Wick."
A little comedic spice from Jason Mantzoukas? I will take it.
As I write, I am convincing myself Wick 3 is my favorite. It is balls to the walls from the beginning, like they all are, but the depth of the story, the colors, the action, and the stunts all excel. I mean, it is like saying fresh made apple pie with vanilla ice cream is better than fresh made apple pie solo. Both are amazing, but the ice cream complements the pie and completes the temperature profile. Halle Berry with her Belgian Malinois. I cheered when I realized it had a bulletproof vest on. How bad ass. The stab through both The Director's hands. The shootout in The Continental shot in a green color palette to look like The Matrix. The insane martial arts provided by all. Mark Dacascos. John Wick 3 rips.

"You see rats with wings, but I see the internet."
"Under the circumstances your privileges are reinstated immediately. What do you need?"
"Guns. Lots of guns."
