Cláudio Alves’s review published on Letterboxd:
Isabela Merced is an adorable wonder, capable of making the loopiest passages of this story work out of sheer willfulness and star charisma. Eva Longoria and Michael Peña help too. They all breath life into a terminally sincere nostalgia exercise that's surprisingly better than the disaster it could have clearly been. The almost unexistence of irony within the script's tonal games contributes a lot to that positive outcome.
