    Flashing cameras and scribbling journalists flank all sides of the ring. Cigarette smoke swirl under the floodlights. The words of an overenthusiastic commentator, echo around the arena.
    The crowds cheer and boo and shout, creating an impenetrable wall of sound

    Yet for the brief moment when the bell rings, a silence falls. Nothing else matters in that moment and is then followed by the familiar ruckus. It's game night and the crowd is going nuts.

    i thought 'ending things' was a gaudy way of saying suicide. but, to my surprise, it meant more. much more.

    there's a certain weight to it's meaning, a universality that connects the most mundane with the most extreme. it slips so easily from the tongue but a realisation suffuses the more it remains in your mind.

    i've thought about ending things. so have you.

    ending loneliness
    ending pain
    ending the past
