Equal parts lovely and frustrating. Deeply poignant and meandering. There’s an honest specificity in the little moments that at times flit by too fast and at others linger a little too long.
In the end the haunting final shot packs a punch but I found myself wishing it gave me a little more to cling to along the way.

This movie is perfection and I won’t hear otherwise.
I could write out a long winded explanation of what this movie means to me and how I’ve been obsessed with it since I saw it in the theater when I was 12 and how it’s practically a part of my DNA but no one cares.
I just felt like it was time to pull it out and watch it for the 100th time. It’s a movie and series I always turn to during rough times because it’s like cinematic comfort food for me. -
