    3000th Film Anniversary

So there it is now the new highly acclaimed Batman which I wanted to give the honor of being my 3000th film because Batman is my favorite superhero!

And yes probably my expectations were just too high again. Although I have made an extra effort by not looking at the trailer or to get no information about the film to have lower the expectations. What can I say Nolan is to blame.

    Let's start with the good…

    50th Anniversary Screening

Best Cinema Experience ever (with the lotr marathon). Very detailed Review of my favorite and the greatest film of all time.

My father would say historical event.

Bonasera, we know each other for
years, but this is the first time
you come to me for help. I don't
remember the last time you invited
me to your house for coffee...even
    though our wives are friends.

"If they ever tell my story, let them say I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names will never die.

Let them say I lived in the time of Hector tamer of horses. Let them say, I lived in the time of Achilles."

    (Remember starts playing)

Gives me the chills every goddamn time.

Wichtelclub Runde 25: Thief Wichtelvermutung: Dorian aka Jesus

I've been saving this one for a long time. At least after more than two years later, thief as one of my most anticipated films is watched.

So thanks to my wicht that I finally watched it and in the end I was mostly satisfied.

Clearly, the film can't match the strength of Heat in any way, but it doesn't have to.

Thief shines with a great James Caan who I really…

Yesterday’s and first rewatch of 2001:

    An experimental watch..
Ever felt like in LLL when gosling and stone waltzing through the universe ? I haven’t since yesterday. After watching the first 19 minutes which I really love but more later I had the idea to dance the blue Danube waltz with my girlfriend while it’s played at the film. Said and done. And what an experience. Yes clear you don’t get…

Filmwelt Filmclub #93 - Koyaanisqatsi - ausgewählt von Kaladin

Mhm I can not deny that I had hoped for something more but nevertheless I could enjoy these 90 minutes.

Reggio's first part of his trilogy forms a unique picture which is carried mainly by the great score and loses itself in its images.

A bit like a classical concert. One drifts a little in one's own thoughts, the images and the music form and deform these thoughts and reflections.
