Blue Velvet is probably one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had in a R Rated film. Kyle Maclachlan, Isabella Rossellini and a young Laura Dern did all l good performances but the one I think stole the show was the late Dennis Hopper. He stole the show in my opinion and he is so over the top and about every word he delivered felt like he was a real life criminal. Definitely Lynch’s most dark film next to Mulholland Drive.

Out of all the coming to age films that came out in the 90s, this is probably the one that is fleshed out the most. Heath and Julia is probably one of the most comforting friendship/relationship in the film. The writing here is original and has a lot of layers to each character motive. Levitt is great in it as well. The Can’t take your eyes of you scene reminds me that the 90s were a simpler time. What a good picture!!!!
