was so fucking into this whole thing up until sam esmail ends the movie with what should be the final shot of act 2, making justis and i both turn to each other like, “oh… that’s it…?”
feels like things might start to fall apart when i really sit here and think about the Obamas producing this but just going to ignore that and appreciate how insane the direction and camerawork are in this. it’s nice seeing esmail’s unique directing style translate pretty effectively into a feature!
