The Worst Person in the World

The Worst Person in the World ★★★★★

after a year in 2021 where i kind of just, fell out of love with a lot of things i once used to enjoy. playing video games, talking with friends, writing… they all kind of simply fell to the wayside, tossed aside for a void of nothingness. but the thing i most definitely fell out of love with was film. i believe i could count on my two hands the number of films that imbued me with a genuine feeling of excitement last year, and that was a truly awful feeling!

safe to say, i’ve been slowly falling back in love with some of the things i used to enjoy so much - film included - and so many new things as well, and The Worst Person In The World has made me feel like i’ve just discovered cinema for the first time again.

this was a candid look into everything it means to be a young person in the 21st century; all of the terrifyingly interesting possibilities of what life could be bogged down by the reality of it all, and somehow, you manage to find yourself in the middle of everything. or at the very least, you become comfortable in the knowledge of knowing who your authentic self is and no longer feel the need to be everything you’re not. <3

please read Tay's review because she says everything i feel but in a much more eloquent fashion
