    3,2,1 LET’S JAM

Cowboy Bebop blends the western, sci-fi, noir genres together to make a completely one of a kind masterpiece in anime.

First off, the animation and drawing style tops most of the anime today. The subtle highlights and shadows create drawn depth that I don’t think is shown as well in other anime. It’s my favorite style of animation, which probably effects this bias, but it’s amazing nonetheless.

    Dune: Part Two

    It Is Written.

A prophecy has been commenced, but at what cost and who’s profit?

My heart was beating from the anxiousness I had going into this. The buildup of Paul felt very intimate and empathetic as he was intertwining himself with Chani and the Fremen people. And the power of Paul left me saddened for those same people.

This was everything I wanted it to be.

I laughed: The bloody napkin scene. Thinking she was going to grab a knife from the kitchen but uses peaches instead lol

I almost cried: The dad looking at each corner of his home trying to remember every corner as it’s flooding. The ending!

I was thrilled: Bong Joon-ho never fails at creating tension, buildup and release.

Best of the year, and so metaphorical.
