Not gonna lie, this was a frustrating watch but I think that is what David Lynch intends to do; exploit the viewers expectations. What makes this film great is how Lynch subverts the viewer's expectations of traditional cinema by unpacking it and turning it upside down. It must take great knowledge about the craft of film making in order to do the exact opposite of normalized story lines, "actions and reactions", and traditional themes. So for that I commend Lynch for his style, even if it's not my favorite cup of coffee to swallow.
A re-watch will definitely be needed
