    This movie makes me so happy.
    My toxic side makes me want to post all the The Inbetweeners "Fwend" gifs.
    But honestly, I love that this is movie about being in your 20-30s and making your way in the world and the end of the world is never the end of the world, y'know?
    Because you're never lost when you got FWENDS.
    (I hate me but I love this movie and it just gets better with age.)

    I feel like this movie has been sitting on the shelf for 2 years because I feel like I've been watching trailers for it for 18 months 😄
    In any case, this is my favorite type of teen movie - extremely funny, direct without being gratuitous or exploitative about sex.
    It's a lot funnier than it looks, dark and bold - I really loved it.
    Do I think the 'Stand By Me' post-script character histories were unnecessarily grim... Yeah but…

    Bad news - this movie is written by Rian Johnson.

    It looks great - it maybe be the best looking, most esthetically pleasing Star Wars movie but the 50% jokey Whedon-lite dialogue and over-complicated plotting make the whole movie feel so discordant and frustrating.

    There are great set-pieces like 'red ninja stormtrooper' fight and I like Kylo Ren and Rey.
