Tenet ★★★★

for better and for worse the movie Nolan has spent his entire career building up to, an entire film of nothing but nonsense logistics and action, all veiled in his career long fascination of pulling tricks on the audience. could not give you a plot summary to this even if i tried, if only for half the dialogue being washed out by the bombastic score, and i don’t even think i’d want to. Tenet is, as a character states, more of a feeling than something you’d try to understand. Nolan’s career has almost been entirely defined for me, up until this point, by how little feeling he delivers, and with this one it’s finally different. he’s completely ditched sentiment and catharsis entirely, in favor for letting the film speak for itself. the most idiosyncratic thing he’s ever made. might end up being his best movie
