Connor Foster’s review published on Letterboxd:
Missing Link is missing a lot.
As usual, Laika has delived a visually spectacular film. They are one of the few faith-restoring studios left in Hollywood, and I am extremely grateful for the work that they do. Unfortunately, Missing Link is lacking in the story department. It just feels like we’ve seen it all before.
Everything feels slightly cliche considering the challenging and unique stories that Laika has chosen to present in the past. I don’t want Missing Link to become a victim of comparison, but I really want to love these movies and I can’t help but hold them to an unfairly high standard.
