This movie just yells "BE GRATEFUL" and I'M ALL FOR IT.
Lady Bird is perfect in every way. You think back to when you were 18, about to enter college and as an immature ungrateful POS. Then realize you have everything you need in life right in front you the entire time. This is what the movie wanted to tell us. To see yourself in Lady Bird and realize the opportunities already in front of you and to not let those go. That it's okay to make mistakes, as long as you flip those mistakes into a blessing in disguise.
I always tell my homies to be grateful for their life as we complain about the most stupid sh*t in our lives which can bring us down. It's really to remind ourselves how we got to where we are and think about the number of people fighting to be in our position in our lives. Be grateful. That simple. Don't be a little sh*t.
