• Apocalypse Now

    Apocalypse Now

As much as I liked this I feel like I fucked watching the final cut first, especially since it was so long😓. But yeah this had some amazing visuals and just some incredibly brutal scenes. Marlon and Martin were amazing in this. I think I will revisit this again on a day I have more energy and probably stick to the original cut. Oh it also didn’t help that at the 2 hour point my Blu-ray’s audio quit working🙄 I had to finish the last hour on my laptop.

  • Triple Frontier

    Triple Frontier

Watching a film like this reminds me I need to like make a “legitimate” scale for how I rate films bc yeah I liked this but it wasn’t WOW but I did keep my attention the entire time, tho I do attribute most of that attention to the cast. But yeah good movie, I liked it.

  • Pan's Labyrinth

    Pan's Labyrinth

This was such a beautiful film. I’m glad I saw it in theaters for my first time seeing it, just loved being able to see all of Del Toro’s beautiful monsters on the big screen. The ending was a very bitter sweet one too. Everyone was really good in this too.

  • The Card Counter

    The Card Counter

First thing, I’d like to thank Paul Schrader for these amazing shots of Oscar Isaac’s hands🥰.

While this wasn’t as great as I hoped for I did like a lot about this. The scenes from the war were shot in such an in your face way and really just made you uncomfortable to look at it. The card counting was explained but OMG I was not ready for that much information to be given to me so quickly. Oscar Isaac…

  • Queenpins

This had so many scenes that had me straight up DYING😭. I love stories that are like “based on true events” because when you think about that, that’s crazy. Vince Vaughn and Paul Walter Hauser had a great dynamic on screen and Paul was hilarious. The other great duo, Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, also had great energy and I just loved every minute of this.

  • Malignant

So I don’t really know what to rate this yet but I’m just gonna start typing and explain my experience with this crazy thing. I liked it. I just wasn’t expecting what I got, then again I didn’t exactly know what to expect except maybe more stuff that would scare me than make me laugh. The action scenes were in insane and there were multiple set pieces that just layer out so beautifully for different effects (suspense, action, etc). I…

  • The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

I definitely wish I was more attentive on this watch but I was texting my dad on and off and keeping up with the Cowboys game (they lost😔) and I just didn’t get to enjoy this fully this time. I still think this is an amazing Baumbach tho and definitely leaves me dumbfounded for how he writes his dialogue and layered it all together just like people talk in real life. Everyone in this is talking…

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Petition for Shang-Chi and The Legend of the 10 Rings: Shirtless Cut.
Yeah this holds up and rewatch and guess who’s not surprised? 🙋‍♂️ Also I’m so happy this is doing so well🥰 can’t wait for everything else to come from the mcu.

  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid

    Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Just watched this because my mom picked it while I was visiting and then we all kinda watched it. It’s still very funny and Rodrick is still one of the characters ever.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This is what going to the movies is supposed to feel like and I’m glad I got to see that for the first time in a while. To be able to sit down around a bunch of strangers and laugh our asses off collectively, that’s an amazing experience you don’t get many other places.

As for the movie itself, I loved it. So many great parts and the action was so good. Awkwafina, Ben Kingsley, and Benedict Wong all had…

  • Grave of the Fireflies

    Grave of the Fireflies

I watched this Cine Secret Cinema and I’m really glad I finally watched it. Very emotional film and it was so well made. I would write a review but I’m kinda just broken after this.

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

If anyone can tell me where the Sorcerer’s Stone is that’d be great.

(Okay but fr because I hate one liner dumb shit, I had a fun time with this and when Hermione froze Neville I just remembered the funny edit where they changed all the wands to guns. Also who was gonna tell me snape isn’t evil in this?? And Adam Driver would be a great younger snape)
