even tho you see it coming a mile away that scene stills hits so hard. also, making this at 23 is insane, but you can see he has such a clear vision for everything in this and it all works perfectly.

Knock at the Cabin 2023
he’s the goat for a reason, and everything about this proves it. the close-ups, the framing of everything, the movement of the camera. and just how this movie really makes us spend time with all of these characters but never drags on. hearing that Jarin Blaschke did all the interior shooting makes soooo much sense too and he did an amazing job. everyone acted their asses off, and had no choice but to when their whole face was the entire frame. just amazing stuff.

The Happening 2008
i had too much fun watching this to rate this any lower than a 3/5 and honestly it delivered at being funny/suspenseful/and even a lil spooky. also the way i freaked out when Connor Roy was the principal, i was like OMG ITS PRESIDENT CONNOR ROY‼️🫡 and then we got sgt Kendall Roy😩 like sorry but a succession cast member shows up in something and i go feral. also, doing a lil Leo pointing at the screen moment each time they say “happening” it’s the little things.

The Village 2004
m. knight will slap me with so many twists, it’ll make my head spin, but this wasnt even the part that stuck out the most to me. the two scenes where Lucius grabs Ivy’s hand through all the terror and chaos and how everything felt like it went into slow motion and they were the only ones in frame, THAT was what really made this stand out. a love story. also, this had many funny moments, has me excited to continue seeing more of his films and very excited for knock at the cabin 😁

You People 2023
i’m actually impressed at how unfunny you have to be to get ELAINE, Jonah Hill, and Eddie Murphy to make me cringe for 2 hours. i would say cutting this down would have helped but they would have probably accidentally cut the good stuff
this what happens when dad picks☹️

The Fabelmans 2022
bisexual sammy fabelman having an anxiety attack about college is something that can be so personal. also, mom loved it.

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood 2019
finally seeing this in theaters, i feel complete. Tarantino’s one of those directors like Scorsese that i would see their movies before i even was really “into movies” ig you could say. but this coming out right when i was starting to get into a wider range of movies and missing it’s theatrical release was devastating. definitely a great hang out film, but those also play so well in a theater where you get to hang out with like all…

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003
Sam saying he can carry Frodo, Aragorn saying for Frodo, Eowyn ripping off her helmet and declaring i am no man. just the perfect ending to a perfect trilogy. tho Sam talking about some girl he’s never talked to before right next to Frodo is still INSANE. glad i went and saw all these in theaters so i can say i have, but also if they ever do this again, i will probably be there again.
