ComradeDan’s review published on Letterboxd:
A very slow and very captivating movie. Every shot is beautiful and mesmerizing. Tarr creates a surreal visual and auditory experience unlike any that I’ve ever seen. The 7 hour and 20 minutes does not fly by at all, it is SLOW, but it manages to hold you in place and keep focus the whole way through. The entire Devils Tit, Sátántangó chapter is hypnotic, with amazing camera work and sound.
And for anyone wondering, the version available on Kanopy is the 4K restoration from 2019.
