This is certainly a unique film. It is basically a collection of short films loosely connected by one collective scene. And considering the time it was made, it’s really impressive how a movie with a majority Asian cast and that centers around Chinese-American culture even got made. So I have an appreciation for what this movie represents.

I enjoyed this a lot. It was much more engaging than I thought a court room drama would be, and it effectively uses flashbacks and quick cuts to keep the pace up. I think this is in part to the great editing in this movie.
