Connor Carey’s review published on Letterboxd:
There are times where the film could and should have ended but decided to keep going, but other than that small complaint "Don't Breathe" is about as close to perfect as a mainstream horror/thriller film can get. Jane Levy, Dylan Minette, and Stephen Lang all deliver excellent performances and I cared about the two leads and feared the antagonist. This movie just kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. There's never a dull moment or scene that didn't have my palms sweating and that's all in thanks to Fede Alvarez's phenomenal job directing. He directs this film so well, and is definitely a director I'll be looking out for. The twist also completely threw me off and was so well done which lead to an absolutely wild and twisted third act that I was a pretty big fan of. Overall this movie uses every minute of its short runtime to its advantage, and delivers exactly what anyone looking for a good thriller can ask for. One of the best films of the year.
