I didn't have a whole ton of interest in "Enola Holmes" beforehand but it turned out to be one of the more pleasant surprises of the year. This is a charming, funny and heartfelt adventure that's led by a fantastic lead performance from Millie Bobby Brown. Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin are a ton of fun here too and it was nice to see a family movie that was genuinely well made.
It does run a bit too long and while the mystery is decent enough, I do wish it had been a little less predictable. But those minor gripes aside, this is definitely one I'd recommend checking out if you're just looking for an enjoyable time.
