Perfect. Peele's thoughts on trauma, desensitization in media and nature. Extremely great script here. Full of great lines and interactions between characters.
Also a love-letter to filmmaking - to the crew behind the camera. At times this almost feels like a tribute to Jaws and the trials and tribulations that movie took to get made. I appreciated every wink and nod Nope made to Jaws, especially the flappy balloon fellas that mirrored the yellow barrels.
Jaw-dropping cinematography, too. Extremely great exterior lighting. Truly feels epic at times. It feels grand and huge. Hoyte's determination on longer focal lengths like 300mm really feel pronounced as soon as things get wild.
Can't wait to see this again.
