Hector E. Pagan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I actually had some fun and didn't hate it as much this time around, but the last act just throws me off so fucking much, it is so fucking dumb and nonsensical. Also, did you really have to do Rose Tico that way? Like, why? I still hate the biggest decisions. The pacing is way less jarring the second time around, thus more enjoyable. If I turn my brain off, I can have fun to SOME extent... but I don't wanna have to do that with Star Wars. Especially after The Last Jedi. Beneath all the dumb decisions and bullshit, there is a good movie here. Beyond this, there is an alternate future where this wasn't directed by JJ to begin with and, just like with the original trilogy, they got somebody else to wrap this up with no bias or potential studio interference... and it could've been glorious. I wanna give it that 6/10 because I GUESS I had fun, but I'm gonna keep this shallow refutation of The Last Jedi at a 5. It's fun if you don't think about it too much, but the film is almost BEGGING you to do just that.
