Frances Ha

Frances Ha ★★★★★

There's a few movies that come out a year that speak so much for themselves that you leave the theater not feeling the need to discuss what you just saw, not to have to justify or explain anything to anyone. This year, Frances Ha is the first one I've come across. A more accessible Baumbauch film that resembles Woody Allen and HBO's Girls, but more than anything is the Gerwigest thing that ever Gerwig'd to the point that it feels like absolutely nothing else in theaters in some time. Heartily recommended and hope it is remembered in awards season.
