"I think you want to become a star."

"Honey, you don't become a star. You either are one, or you ain't. I am."

Damien Chazelle said that Babylon is a love letter to cinema and a hate letter to Hollywood, and there is no better way to describe it, Babylon is for the film lovers. Chazelle has this unique talent and power of making much more than a film, he's an specialist in creating an atmosphere, an experience that it's…

"I'm always gonna love you too."

I'll never get tired of this film, for me, it's the perfect one, it's cinema at it's best, I'll never get tired of saying all the lines along with the characters, of singing with them. I first watched La La Land in 2019, I was going through a lot at the time, but from that moment on I was sure what I wanted to do with life, I was…

"Awesome, a bus driver that likes Emily Dickinson."

I can't deny that when I first watched Paterson I was falling asleep a bit, but that was around 3 years ago and this film still hasn't left my mind, I think about it weekly. Paterson will leave MUBI soon, so I thought of rewatching while I still had the chance, and I couldn't reccomend it enough, it's so comforting and it's one of those films that don't really have a plot,…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

"Which would be worse, to live as a monster, or to die as a good man?"

I knew what the twist was but, if anything, it only made the film better and more interesting, because I was able to pay more attention to details: like in the interrogation scene, where there's a guard there is a guard behind Teddy and behind the person who was being interrogated, but not behind Chuck, signaling that Teddy's a patient there. The attention to…

    Love & Death

It takes Love & Death 3 episodes to get it going, but on the fourth episode it really gets more interesting, not only that but it gets real good. The whole cast is great, but Elizabeth Olsen is a force of nature here, one of her finest jobs, I'm sure she'll get that Emmy!
It's a well produced and directed show, I'd say it's worth the watch if you enjoy true crime and can get past the first 3 episodes.
