    "Avengers: Infinity War" achieves basically everything it sets out to do: bring together the sprawling MCU cast for a fun, yet dramatic, adventure while establishing Thanos as a compelling antagonist. Basically, this movie is part 1 of a season finale, which means a lot of its emotional investment is more of a product of the preceding movies rather than internally contained. The entire MCU was the foundation upon which an epic of stunning scale was crafted.
