wild to know we got the best superhero film of the year in January, could go on all day about the number of insane shots in this film. even though he didn't direct it, Anno's fingerprints are all over this with taking a tokusatsu while indulging in a lot of the fun of the genre also turns it into a twisty political drama at the same time about how fucking insane this concept would play out within modern bureaucratic systems and world politics trying to maintain power while a big silver man fights giant mole with a drill for a nose. great time.
